The advanced features are intended for technically adept users such as system administrators, root users, technical support and service personnel. Do not perform advanced functions on your system drive. Performing format or other advanced commands on an active drive may cause the format to fail or the system to become unusable. If advanced functions are needed for the system drive use a utility such as the one built into the host adapter BIOS options for format. Otherwise, move the drive to another system where it is not performing the system drive function. Seagate Technology will not be responsible for any data loss due to the use of this tool.
